The new guy on the block, Guess arrived with Bronte in March 2019. He is a 16.2hh liver chestnut warmblood by De Niro, out of a Wynton mare, who is competing at Prix St George. Bronte aims to take him through the levels and compete at Grand Prix.

The star of the show, Charlie (Vivaldi x Ferro) is a stunning 17.3hh black warmblood gelding. He has been to competitions all over Europe with Bronte and they regularly compete at Grand Prix.

Future Stars

Loxley is an exciting 3-year-old gelding who has been backed and turned away, soon to come back into work at Newton Stud. Bronte will start to compete him over the coming year and really kickstart his career in dressage, taking him up the levels hopefully all the way to Grand Prix.

Remi is one of Bronte’s stars of the future. She is a yearling filly who is based at Newton Stud and will start her training when she is old enough, ready to set her on track for her dressage career.

Newton Dreamcatcher

Bronte first saw Newton Dreamcatcher at an open day at Newton Stud where he beat over 70 other young horses to top spot on the day. The stunning chestnut colt will stay at Newton Stud to start his education when he is old enough.

Past Horses

Twix, a 13.2hh Welsh section D, was Bronte’s first pony who she bought from a riding school. She was a typical naughty pony and certainly tested Bronte’s stickability.

Steve, eventually known as Trusty as he grew to actually very safe and sensible, was a 15.2hh Thoroughbred ex-racehorse. Bought under the impression that he was 8 years old, Bronte soon found out that he was actually 5 and was rather good at fly bucking. He went on to have a successful eventing career up to BE100 with Bronte and became known as Trusty.

Another ex-racehorse, Caddy evented to 2* level with Kylie Roddy before turning his hoof to dressage with Bronte. He competed successfully to Elementary before retiring at the age of 16. He is currently living out his remaining years in the paddock at Bronte’s home in Harpenden with his companion Maisie.

Fritz took Bronte from elementary to PSG in a relatively short time, after she bought him from Beth Bainbridge in 2015. They did their first PSG together in 2016 and went to Spain to compete in the Classica (national) classes in 2017, where he won every day. As Bronte progressed up the levels, Fritz was loaned to Millie McBride as a schoolmaster. He is now living out his retirement in Devon at Monshall Retirement Livery.
